Keep flying the flag

13 July 2010

Let's celebrate all that we've achieved, but most importantly, let's remember that this is just the beginning!

Keep Flying!'We showed the world our true colours. And we showed our guests true African hospitality.

But most importantly, we showed ourselves. We showed ourselves that with one spirit, we can do anything.

So lets fly the flag for 30 days more and wear this symbol of unity with pride. Because for South Africa, the end of the World Cup... it's just the beginning!'

- Fly the Flag is an initiative by Draftfcb

How you can get involved

1. Keep flying our flag. It’s a symbol of us. South Africans. And a reminder, that with one spirit, we can achieve anything.

2. Help spread this message. Grab a background, an email signature, a profile pic (for Facebook, Twitter etc). Feel free to post it, badge it, print and share it. Grab it here. It’s an idea worth spreading.

3. Stay positive. Stay upbeat. Buy local. Celebrate local. Greet a stranger – a local one. Say “howzit” or “heita”. Get involved. Locally. Wear a flag. Respect the flag. Just love it. All of it, and all of us. Remember all we’ve done. And never forget, it’s nothing as yet.

To find out how else you or your company can get involved, or to request other resources for this initiative, including ordering wearable badges, please email: flyingtheflag@draftfcb.co.za

About Keep Flying

It's just the beginning!Keep Flying is a simple idea. An idea that matters. And an idea that belongs to all of us. It believes that its all of our responsibility to fly the flag. Every South African Brand; Every South African, and to recognize what the flag symbolizes: Us, and our unity.

A unity that brought the World’s Greatest Tournament to life in a way only we could. A unity that still reverberates across continents a world away. A unity that says to the world, and ourselves: “Hear us, each one of us, as one. Our time has truly come”

“Keep Flying” is simply that. A call to fly the flag. A call to keep flying.

Wave Your Flag - With the world cup completed and everyone at a loss at to what to do with themselves, we have a plan for all those who have flags, they are not sure what to do with... We will be collecting flags, the large SA flags will be put up at needy schools to help them be super proud to be South African. Smaller flags will be used to create proudly South African and other countries clothing, bags, etc. All will be sold to help fund our school community garden project. Give us your unwanted flags and we'll make sure they get put to good use, and wave your flag... :).
