Say cheers to the best brandy maker....

The best brandy maker in South AfricaIf brandy is your drink of choice, look out for Kobus Gelderblom’s KWV brandies – as chief brandy master of the largest distillery in the world (120 copper potstills under one roof), he has created the Best Brandy Worldwide five times, and also earned a number of other international accolades – three double gold medals, 23 gold medals and 51 silver medals – and this with just seven products: KWV’s three-, five-, 10-, 15- and 20-year-old potstill brandies, Imoya VSOP and an estate brandy, Laborie Alambic.

In 2008 and 2009, he won the trophy for KWV 15 for best SA Brandy at the Michelangelo International Wine Awards.

And this year, over 30 countries entered the Concours Mondial de Buxelles – the Olympics of wine and spirits – and South Africa was awarded 6th place.

KWV’s contribution to this ranking was achieving a gold award for the KWV 15-year-old brandy and two silvers for the KWV 10-year-old and KWV 20-year-old brandies.

I opine that to get the mortgage loans from creditors you ought to have a good reason. But, one time I've got a student loan, just because I wanted to buy a car.
