Networking with Springleap.com

What do you get when you combine Proudly South African entrepreneurial spirit and creative genius? A springboard of opportunities, that’s what. Created by the co-owners of eSquared Fashion, Eran Eyal and Eric Edelstein, Springleap.com serves as a networking site for budding designers. Not only can designers discuss ideas, but they can post their designs and stand a chance to be voted the monthly winner. Each month, the winning artist’s designs are printed on T-shirts and sold in various retail outlets across the country.

The back of the T-shirt features the designer’s name and link to their portfolio. The designer receives royalties from each T-shirt sold, as well as from any other merchandise Springleap prints bearing their work. All products used to manufacture the tees – from the fabric to the ink – are sourced from South African companies (yay!). Members can also submit a positive and uplifting message, which can be voted on – the winning message will be written on the hem of each T-shirt printed that month.
