A gripe and a moan (I don't do it often so bear with me)

I've got past Monday and Tuesday without a single complaint so I think it's fair to have a good vent today.

My make-up bag was stolen a while ago (the horror). In it were my absolute favourite things including products I'd bought abroad and some that had been discontinued here; you know that lipstick that you have to get out of the tube with the back of a teaspoon scenario. I was seriously peeved.

Two products are available here and are pretty run of the mill so I tootled off to the shop to buy them. Both the brands didn't have the colour of the product I wanted (no stock) but the salesman and woman said they would order them. Lovely, thank-you! After assuring them about how desperate I was, I gave them my details and off I went. That was two months ago. Do you think either of them have called?

Now, cut to a recent trip I did. I wanted to get my hands on the Laura Mercier Eye Basics in Flax (a miracle product if ever there was one) so I went to SpaceNK. They didn't have it in stock because the whole universe wanted it. But!....they took my details and said they would have it delivered to me.... the following day! Huh? Sorry, can you repeat that??? 'We'll deliver it to you by tomorrow ma'am.' Yeah right, my tainted self thought. But they did. They really did. So I went back and bought more stuff that I really didn't need because I thought they were just so completely fabulous. My bank manager didn't.

The moral of the story is this. Something HAS to be done about the service at the counters. I am always one to give someone the benefit of the doubt, but two counters let me down; one in a department store and one in a stand-alone store - neither were busy when I went in - they need the business for heaven's sake.

OK. End of vent. If you have any hassles at the counter, let me know and I'll jump on the brand managers! If we don't complain nothing will be done. Cheerio
