Q & A with Randy Zeno: CEO of Dr. Miracle’s

13 March 2012

Beauty assistant, Kelli Clifton briefly chats to Randy Zeno, CEO of ethnic hair care brand, Dr. Miracle’s.

Q & A with Randy Zeno: CEO of Dr. Miracle’s

Kelli: How old is the Dr. Miracle’s brand?

Randy: Dr. Miracle’s was established in 2004, by three people; Brian Marks, Ollie Johnson and Richard Lombardi. By recognising a gap in the ethnic hair market, Dr. Miracle’s was created.

Kelli: What is the best-selling Dr. Miracle’s product?

Randy: Our best-selling items are the treatment items and relaxer kits.

Kelli: What makes Dr. Miracle’s products different to other haircare brands?

Randy: Firstly, Dr. Miracle’s products have a high efficacy. The consumer knows the products work because she can feel them working. She can see the results. Secondly, our marketing approach is different. We touch hands with the consumer through sampling and educational workshops. We like to educate our clients as much as possible to ensure that they know what is right for their hair. Lastly, our packaging is quite unique. It’s eco-friendly and certainly stands out on the shelf.

Kelli: What do you feel is the most common hair problem that women face?

Randy: Women don't condition their hair correctly. And when I say condition, I don’t mean it in the normal sense! I’m referring to actually responding to their hair’s needs. Frizz, lack of hydration and manageability are common problems that women encounter. The root of all good hair (pardon the pun) is the scalp. I can proudly say that our products promote healthy hair first!

Kelli: Where can we find Dr. Miracle’s?

Randy: In South Africa, Dr. Miracle’s is available at Clicks stores nationwide. You can also visit our newly revamped website, www.drmiracles.com or become a fan on facebook (www.facebook.com/drmiraclesfans) or follow us on twitter @DrMiracles.

I love Dr Miracles products. He is right when he says you can feel it working, but I can see it working as well. My hair is stronger and more manageable. I wished they sold their products in other retail outlets though. I once drove around looking for their Braid Relief spray and I finally found it at the 4th Clicks store, when I was close to giving up.
