Sorbet Drybar launches in Johannesburg

The blow dry is big in Johannesburg. Getting that perfectly glossy hairstyle is a natural extension of looking the part, which is why the launch of the new Sorbet Drybar is likely to be such a hit. The Sorbet Drybar offers a wash & blow-dry service to its customers without the other trappings of a normal salon – no cut or colour. This is an express service for busy people – you’re in and out in just 45 minutes, and you can even get a file and paint of your nails at the same time.

The Dunkeld West Shopping Centre was carefully selected for its prime location between Sandton, Hyde Park and Rosebank, but more importantly because it’s not tucked away in a mall – here you can park your car right outside and nip into the Drybar for your blow-dry without having to navigate a mall where you might bump into anyone from a casual acquaintance to a business partner looking less than your perfectly groomed best.

There are seven styles to choose from – all boasting the quirky food-related names we’ve come to expect from the Sorbet beauty salon chain. The Espresso is a sleek and straight style, while Amaretto promises the messy beach look for people who spend absolutely no time on the beach at all. There’s even a Tutti Fruiti option for the under-10’s. All the blow-dry options are R140 regardless of the length of your hair and include a wash, while clients with ethnic hair can opt for the Double Dip at R180. The Tutti Fruit costs just R100. All this and a complimentary cup of coffee or glass of champagne too.

The Sorbet Drybar is open seven days a week, from 08h00 on weekdays.

Dunkeld West Shopping Centre, cnr Bompas and Jan Smuts Avenue, Dunkeld.
