This is another of those hidden gems, a tiny boutique spa that shares residence with Triba in Craighall Park. Quiet, discreet and easy to get to, it's all things you want from a peaceful spa experience. Confession time: I am one of those people who loves having my feet massaged and touched and, quite frankly, if you have any kind of foot-touching aversion, then this reflexology treatment is definitely not for you. The treatment (and this is regarded as a treatment therapy) involved kneading and massaging first my feet, and then my hands. The therapist first used talcum powder as she worked on my feet, and then switched to cream for a deeper, more intensive massage. It felt completely heavenly. Once my feet had been thoroughly stroked and rubbed, she gave my hands a complementary treatment using cream. At the end of it, my mouth was dry – a common response. I was warned that when my lymph glands flush toxins I might go to the bathroom more often, which was entirely true. A cup of serenity tea and a few quiet minutes rounded off the treatment. I felt more relaxed afterwards than I have in weeks and I'll definitely be going back. |
