Colour Riche Le Gloss

15 June 2012

This nourishing gloss is a handbag essential.

I tend to hover towards lipsticks or lip balms and while I like gloss I find that it can often be sticky, messy and, in windy Cape Town, my hair gets matted to my lips. However, I was willing to try Colour Riche Le Gloss after I heard promises of a non-sticky formula and I was interested to see how nourishing a gloss could be.

I liked the gentle pink of Baby Blossom as I generally restrict my lips to neutral tones during the day and only whip out the red lips at night. At first I noticed that Baby Blossom is more opaque than sheer, however I realised you only need to apply very little to get a soft, spring blossom pink. It smells like ice-cream and the formula is not sticky at all and actually leaves your lips feeling soft and hydrated – not surprising since the gloss contains –among other things – Omega 3 and conditioning Vitamin E. I use mine throughout the day and love its subtle soft pink colour and sheen. I can also recommend the chocolatey smelling Plum Rush, which provides a just bitten juicy red colour and glistening shine.
