L’Oréal Lash Architect 4D

This mascara promises to give extra curve and coat every lash.

I tend to have pretty high expectations of mascara because I have big eyes with long lashes and I really like lots of drama. I also think the longer, thicker and bolder your lashes are, the less you need when it comes to eye make-up, which is great when your time is tight and you need to get ready in minimal time.

So, the pressure is on when I try out a new mascara. L’Oréal Lash Architect 4D promises to take your lashes beyond 3D into 4D by offering volume, length, texture and curve. The formula contains sculpting fibres, which assist in adding volume and curve to your eyelashes. L’Oréal has always been a master of mascara brushes and it always initially takes me a while to wrap my head around how to use them correctly. This brush is angular and the brushes are graded to ensure that you can reach every lash – bottom and top. It did a great job at separating and lengthening each lash, however it did not offer as much volume or curve as I would like and I had to add a few layers to really thicken my lashes. However, adding on layers is better than stickiness and clumps. There was no residue under my eyes and it lasted well the entire day – even for post-work drinks – and didn’t require a touch up or clean up.
