Superga launch

My favourite shoes, next to sandals, would have to be sneakers - especially well designed and stylish sneakers.

I was pleasantly surprised to score an invite to the Superga store launch earlier this month at The Zone Phase 2 in Rosebank on a spring afternoon. I bumped into Danny K’s dad Daddy K upon my arrival, and we both headed to the launch area.

Cocktail in hand, I spotted a few local celebrities Elena Afrika; Danny K; Sashi and Mark Sandler; Natalie Du Toit sporting their funky pairs of Supergas.

DJ Switch (of YOTV fame) has matured into a respectable DJ and entertained us, along with a live drummer who joined his set. The Superga Marimba players and dancers were my favourite though, playing the Superga song that Danny K wrote especially for the launch.
