I should like to know the best type of Upright Vacuum to buy. I have two dogs and a cat all of which live both in and outside the house, so smelly bags are not my favourite kind of thing.

We last tested upright vacuum cleaners in May 2007. The Dyson DC14 Animal was our best buy and worked extremely well - we rated it five stars. We did not include the Miele in our tests, but I understand they are also good. Let me have your email address if you would like us to forward you the survey.
