My husband and I knew each other in Junior school. I was friends with my husbands best friends sister. There was n0t much between us at junior school except the occassional chat on the playground. I then moved to Johannesburg after Junior school and my husband went on to highschool. we did not see each other for years. but as fate would have it I came back to visit my family in Phalaborwa where we grew up. We were both invited unbeknown to us to a mutual friends braai. when we saw each other we were hooked,lock,stock and barrel and i knew we would get married.The long distance relationship then continued as I had to go back to Joburg, eventually we decided i needed to move back to Phalaborwa so thats what we did. It was birthday 25th february 2011 and after coming home from a very early work shift. we were meeting my dad whom I had not seen for a year for dinner. During dinner dean took out this tiny little box and dropped to one knee and proposed to me in front of my dad. It was magical and of course tears were shed. Our Wedding Day was beautiful, set in the tropical region of Tzaneen. The service was done on a wonderful deck with an amazing dam as a backdrop. This is where we would be joined in front of God and all family and friends. The dress was perfect,packed with emotion and friends and family smiling.The food was delicious and even some of the wedding cake got traded for make-up. Tossing of the garter and flowers was caught by two unmarried retired people so lets hope fate brings them together:-) The wedding dance was better than any of us imagined or practiced. Our wedding Day never officially ended because we are living it EVERYDAY!
