The summer of 2006 was life changing and many of the reasons I believe fate threw Dumi and I together through a series of events. I got a job as a Leaner and that is where I met Dumi, who worked for the same company. I was not looking to date anyone at the time so I decided if we become friends instead of dating, we would have more fun. I even tried unsuccessfully to set him up with a couple of my friends. Dumi and I build a strong friendship before realizing after almost a year that we had fallen madly in love. We were suddenly spending all our free time together and spent hours on the phone every night never wanting to say good night- we actually played the “No you drop the phone first” game. It was adorable. I was wary of starting a romantic relationship with him and I remember him promising me “it would be impossible for me to ever hurt you or stop feeling the way I do about you”. I will never forget that feeling in my stomach when I realized the feeling was mutual. When he proposed in 2009 it was truly a promise kept. I was made to believe I was going on a business trip. I went back to the hotel room after dinner to find the most romantic set up I had ever seen and while trying to recover from the shock, wondering if I was in someone else’s room Dumi was right behind me holding a package from Browns. My mind went wild and I think after he got down on one knee I only remember the words: “I can’t wait any longer; I want to spend the rest of my life with you”, after that I just remember crying “yes, yes, yes!” Our wedding day was a Fairytale come true and the happiest day of my life. We planned every single detail ourselves; it was priceless sharing it with our loved ones. That day I told him “Thank you for being a man of your word.” I am lucky that I found my true love in this world. We've been through a lot of life changes over the past years, I'm incredibly thankful that because we've been together for so long and since we were quite young, we've grown up and together, rather than up and apart.
