We meet as friends but we couldn’t deny the spark between us, as a result we are now best friends and husband and wife. Our engagement was an experience I will never forget. Riaan organized a helicopter ride with his uncle whom is a pilot. He told me it was just going to be a 5 minute trip in the air but in reality he organized it to go all the way to the Drakensburg, it was truly a romantic surprise especially as it was the first time either of us had seen snow. Our wedding was at stonehaven castle on a beautiful sunny day. My uncle is a minster and he conducted the ceremony, It was so special having him marry us. We wanted our wedding to be personal and to show our personalities as a couple. We made everything ourselves from the wedding invitations to the wedding cake and it really gave our wedding the personal feeling. But to show off our personalities we wanted to do something fun. Halfway through our wedding dance (which was Bryan Adams everything I do) we had organized it to look like the cd had broken. We played a series of short extracts from songs and danced to the music we had both grown up to.(little bit of dirty dancing, Greece and more).we cut our wedding cake with a sword from an anime series we both loved. At the end of the evening We let off sky lanterns and watched the flickering light of love sore into the sky, while our guests and us played with sparklers, bringing back good childhood memories. Our wedding was everything we wanted it to be, we started off our married life as the fun couple we were when we first met.
