Our story started just over eight years ago at my best friend’s house in phoenix. I was staying over at her house for the weekend to study and her cousin Roshan (my now husband) came to visit. We instantly attracted to each other. Roshan was so sweet in trying to woe me, he ran my bath water, cooked supper and on the very last day wrote me a poem. It was called “speak or not” about a guy who like a girl but doesn’t want to ruin their friendship. I thought it was the sweetest thing and we started dating that very day. We go engaged two years later. He is an avid fisherman and in his true romantic style he took me out on the pier in Durban on the most magnificent night. With the stars shining brightly above us we replay that seen from Titanic, then as I turned around he went on his knee and asked me to marry him. Our wedding was six years later, we waited that long because we wanted our own cars, a home of our own and financial security. Our wedding day was straight out of a fairytale. It was everything I had dreamt about. I remember when I was walking down the aisle and my eyes met his for the first time I had the biggest smile in the hall. We have now been married for four months and I’m already expecting our first baby. He has made all my dreams come true and I love him more than anything else in this world.
