Fairyt@le - Friendship on Fire This is the story of a gentle, loving, cautious but wonderful boy from Umhlanga who meets his “girl next door” crazy, clumsy and adventurous princess in Pinetown. A friendship filled with Roadtrips / Camping holidays / Rowing tours and nights out followed by late night tea and toast formed the base of a love of each others characters. 1 Valentines eve saw the first date of home made pasta and chocolate mousse on the balcony of Scotty’s beautiful seashore home (the same place where he popped the question on bended knee just over 4 years later)! This resulted in a most definite YES to continue this course of memory making in the context of marriage -after a 4.5year relationship jam packed with bungy jumping / skydiving /adventuring and exploring together. What a night!! The excitement only escalated with the surprise arrival (organized by the man of the moment) of my 2 sisters who live in Cape Town and my parents and gran and gramps to share in the magic over dinner. Got to love him! Our wedding day was incredible! We loved every moment! The ceremony was set up on the Deck of Shalwyn lodge overlooking the Hills of Eston. Everything was relaxed, sincere, genuine and filled with love. 250 well loved friends and family joined us for the celebration. Our first dance was lit up by sparklers as we moved across the dance floor to the sounds Adam Sandler’s “Grow old with you”. The entire night was magical and I know that it’s only the beginning of a love story filled with fun, adventure and a multitude more memories.

As the Caterer at Shalwyn, I can honestly say whta an amazing couple. We see them every weekend and this couple just are amazing. Wow, what can I say about this couple! They are the most loving, giving, sharing couple I know and their awesome personalities complement each-other so well! They are truly soul mates and best of friends and it is so awesome to see that a pair so well matched found each-other! The 250 guests at their wedding, all of whom would attest to being close friends, is proof of how they share their love and joy with all around them! I have never been to a wedding that required a bus to transport just one group of friends, they certainly had it all and created a wedding so full of their own personality and love, theirs, their families and their friends; it will definitely stand out in my memory! Scotty & Leigh are SUCH wonderful, fun and extremely loving people. They have so much time for others.
