Rocking the Daisies style

18 October 2011

Our senior beauty assistant, Catherine Zachariou did a little style spotting at this year's Rocking The Daisies festival.

Kim

Age: 25

Occupation: Actress

Festival Fundamental: Sunscreen

Must-See Bands: The Jack Mantis Band, Band of Skulls

Kim’s easy breezy silk shirt was bang on trend and it is still beyond me how she managed to look so cool, calm and collected in 40 degree heat. Tell us your secret!

Nicholas

Age: 26

Occupation: Archaeologist

Festival Fundamentals: Sunglasses

Must See Band: Band of Skulls

Nicholas’s flannel shirt gave the right dose of grunge without looking grotty.

Sophia

Age: 24

Occupation: Student

Festival Fundamentals: Flip flops for the shower

Must-See Bands: Band of Skulls, Lark

Sophia’s finger candy captured my attention whilst I was sitting behind her. Her collection included an elephant ring and turquoise stones set off by red nails.

Pretty Parasol

I never caught this stylish senorita’s name but fell in love with her gorgeous top and Asian-inspired crimson parasol, which gave me a lesson in festival style.

Catherine Grenfell

Occupation: Producer and on-air presenter on the Fresh Drive and Live to the Power of Five.

Festival Fundamentals: Moisturiser, sunscreen, wet wipes. Gumboots are a fashion must have, I’m currently obsessed with my new purple Hunter wellies. Dresses, shorts and a bikini are important for the hot weather whilst a warm jacket is a must for those chilly evenings.

Must-See Bands: Civil Twilight, Band of Skulls, Disco Dave

Tell us about your tats: The ones on my wrists are my husband and children’s names. The Lakshmi represents health, wealth and prosperity. The phoenix on my back is a work in progress; I’ve already sat for 6 hours and have another 2 hours to go.

Head scarf

A hot pink headscarf is the perfect accessory to disguise dirty locks or to keep the dust out of your hair. Illustrated perfectly by this young lady I caught at the Mr Cat and the Jackal set.

Felicity

Age: 23

Occupation: Photographer and chef

Festival Fundamental: Hand sanitiser

Must-See Bands: Band of Skulls, Yesterday’s Pupil, Mr Sakitumi

Felicity’s baby blue nails caught my eye, courtesy of Maybelline, of course.
