First Timberland store for women

Timberland opened its first store for women in Hyde Park Corner, Johannesburg on Friday last week. For years the Timberland women’s range has been sold in conjunction with the main men’s range. Timberland has now opened this independent store, which features women’s footwear and accessories.

This new store opens weeks after Timberland won an award in the UK for The Best Ethical Footwear and Accessories Brand. The overall design of the store has followed the Leadership in Environmental and Energy Design like all the other environmentally friendly Timberland stores. The integrated sustainable design project guarantees an environmental low impact throughout the planning, construction and maintenance stages. From the eco-friendly tiled flooring to the LED lighting, which uses new technologiy to conserve energy, the store aims to offer customers a cleaner, less prop-driven environment with the main focus being on product.
