Zonnebloem Sauvignon Blanc 2010
1 December 2010
A playful, vivacious vino.
By Peta Oshry
I cracked open a bottle of Zonnebloem Sauvignon Blanc 2010 last night at book club. The wine was fruity (green figs, according to the label) and crisp which paired excellently with spinach frittata and feminine repartee. The evening was warm and the wine was chilled, which is always a winning combination, as is the coupling of food and friends.
Having scooped a gold medal at this year’s Michaelangelo International Wine Awards, R42 a bottle isn’t bad price for this playful vivacious vino.
