After working tirelessly to whittle down a list of elite nominees from hundreds of worthy beauty products, the winners of this year's Best of Beauty Awards were announced at a glittering awards ceremony at Turbine Hall in Johannesburg.

The evening's host and our lovely editor, Suzy Brokensha, opened up the evening by congratulating the nominees. She thanked them for the effect their products have on our lives:
