100 000 Photos For Hope
Photographers from around the world are doing their part for leukaemia...
From 13 to 16 October, Jo'burg lovers of photography can be a part of the 100 000 Photos for Hope initiative at the Coca Cola Dome.
For a good cause
All funds raised go towards the Sunflower Fund in an effort to add members to the South African Bone Marrow registry. Donated bone marrow is life-saving for many diagnosed with leukaemia or another life threatening blood disorders.
Donated, signed A4 prints from photogrpahers around the world will be sold from R100 each. R37 000 was raised at a similar event in July, which is good news, considering that the tests required to place someone on the Bone Marrow Registry cost R1 000.
We love the idea that photos, which can often bring such happiness and joy, are being used to help this worth cause!
