Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes split
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have officially announced their plans to divorce.

Katie Holmes' lawyer, Jonathan Wolfe has confirmed that, after 5 years of marriage to Tom Cruise, the actress wants a divorce. He said: 'This is a personal and private matter for Katie and her family. Katie’s primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter’s best interest.' Katie Holmes reportedly wants sole legal custody of her six-year-old daughter Suri. According to TMZ.com Katie has asked for legal custody, primary residential custody and a 'suitable amount' of child support from her husband. In addition she has asked for the division of their property even though the couple signed a pre-nuptial agreement before they tied the knot. The pre-nuptial agreement entitles Katie to $3 million for every year she was married to Tom Cruise. If Katie had stayed married to Tom for 11 years, the pre-nuptial agreement would have entitled Katie to a 50/50 split according to California community property laws. Tom who is currently in Iceland filming new action movie Oblivion. |

Frankly I am surprised they stayed together for so long, so many times you could see on their photographs the face of an extremely unhappy wife plastering on the smile for the cameras.....wyona
So glad she finally opened her eyes, really he is such a control freak i don't like him at all, good luck to her and Suri, because he has the money to change everything to suite him.
