Key tracks
‘Pot belly’, ‘Doo be doo’
Sound off
Freshlyground is an incredibly groovy and diverse band and it shows: they incorporate kwela, african folk, blues, indie rock as well as jazz into their albums. Their songs have energy, soul and amazing rhythm that you can’t help but get lost in. I feel that their originality will take them far and I have a huge appreciation for their talent as their songs never have a ‘heard it before’ vibe. They are so homegrown and unique!
