Inside Track Adam Levine has always had a bit of a reputation – one he doesn’t feel he deserves. ‘People often misinterpreted confidence or my playful cockiness with arrogance,’ he told The Sun. ‘I’m certainly an extremely humble person and my mother raised me right. I’m always polite, I’m always nice and never mean.’ |
Quotable lyrics
In the middle of Hollywood Boulevard
Screaming at each other
Screaming at each other
Like oh oh oh, can't take it anymore oh oh oh
Key Tracks
'One More Night', 'Fortune Teller' and cult hit ‘Payphone’
Sound off
We haven’t seen much of Adam in a while – sure, he’s been playing mentor on star search reality show The Voice, but his last hit was ‘Moves Like Jagger’ – which shot to the top of the charts back in 2011.
Remember this?
Good news, though – Maroon 5 is back! ‘We’re energised,’ he told The Sun. ‘We’d gotten complacent but everything changed when we put out Jagger. That changed the whole game for us. It introduced us to a younger generation of fans who we connected with. It got everyone up dancing and it proved we were still in the game ... Now it’s okay to like us. For ages it was uncool to like Maroon 5.’
Okay or not – I loved this album. It’s definitely my favourite offering by the band so far – with lots of singalong pop songs and fun love songs this album is their most commercial listen, good from start to end. Maroon 5 have perfected their sound.
